This mod is a substitute pistol sound for the usual pistol in GTA V. ***OPENIV CAN SOMETIMES CORRUPT THE WEAPONS.AWC AND THE GAME WILL NOT START. TO FIX, REPLACE WEAPONS.AWC WITH THE ORIGINAL, START THE GAME, THEN REINSTALL THE MOD.***
TO INSTALL:
– Navigate to WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf (x64> audio > sfx > WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf) and open
– Allow edit mode.
– Drag and drop the ptl_pistol.awc file into OpenIV
– Subsequent, navigate to weapons.awc (x64> audio > sfx > RESIDENT.rpf > weapons.awc)
– Make a brand new folder in your desktop or wherever you need and name it something you need.
– Proper-click weapons.awc and choose ‘Export to openFormats (.oac)’
– Choose the folder you simply created and anticipate it to complete.
– Navigate to the folder you created.
– Open the folder named ‘weapons’
– Drag ‘0x0F4DFCD5.wav’ from this mod’s folder into the ‘weapons’ folder and exchange.
– Then drag the file that is named ‘weapons.oac’ again into OpenIV. It will import the complete
‘weapons’ folder and .oac and recreate ‘weapons.awc’
