Southwest Airways Co. is a significant U.S. airline and the world’s largest low-cost provider, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The airline was established in 1967and adopted their present identify in 1971.
Southwest Airways has solely operated Boeing 737s, apart from a number of years within the 1970s and 1980s, once they operated a number of Boeing 727s. As of August 2012, Southwest is the biggest operator of the 737 worldwide with over 550 in service, every working a median of six flights per day.
