In October 1974, the Brazilian Air Pressure (FAB) ordered 36 F-5E and 6 F-5B plane from Northrop for $72 million. The primary three plane arrived on 12 March 1975.[62] In 1988, FAB acquired 22 F-5E and 4 F-5F second-hand USAF “agressor” fighters. A complete of 15 of those plane had been a part of the preliminary batch of 30 plane produced by Northrop.[63] In 1990, FAB retired all remaining 5 F-5Bs; later, they had been despatched to Brazilian museums across the nation.
