On D-Day, the allies, especially the Americans, used for Operation Overlord, aquatic tanks to support the troops that landed on land … although the plan was good, most of the “Amphibians” upon reaching the Utah beaches and Omaha were the ones that suffered the most … They sank in the English Channel and if they were lucky they would reach the beaches who were received with fire from Mortars, 88mm Artillery and PAK38 and PAK40 anti-tank guns … To which many remained as well as in the image … Finally I was able to rebuild the model, the object id 3594.
