On July 17, 2008, during the famous E3 gaming event, a new portable chapter by Grand Theft Auto was announced by surprise. The title Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars arrived on Nintendo DS™ on March 20, 2009.
The porting for the Sony PSP® console was announced and landed on 23 October 2009. Finally, the title was also released for iPhone and iPod on January 17, 2010.
